		<description>I agree--MySpace could do so much with regards to making customization both easy and integrated, though I suspect that they are afraid of alienating the customization service economy that has appeared due to their insufficient appearance options. More and more musicians seem to consider MySpace a necessary evil, not the essential tool it once was, and much of that (I think) has to do with the work one has to put it to make it truly &quot;your space.&quot;

That being said, it seems that MySpace&#039;s real focus may be on allowing developers to do the behind the scenes work for them with gadgets and applications (like their rivals do). CNET posted this interesting article yesterday saying as much:

		<description>I&#039;m a web designer and it baffles me that in order to customize your myspace profile design, you STILL need to apply CSS &quot;hacks&quot;.  Custom myspace pages are so common - especially for musicians - that you would think myspace would provide a powerful to edit the appearance / structure.  Something user-friendly, and 100% cross-browser.

until then, we continue to hack the CSS...  weak.
